The new headquarters of Cegeka, a European company of IT solutions provider, based in Belgium, are located on the 8^th floor of a building in Athens. The floor, with total area of 550 sqm, splits into two wings of different levels and orientations. The lower one (Wing I) faces the street with view to Acropolis, and the other (Wing II), larger and longer, the uncovered building site. Following the company’s request the design included three meeting rooms of different capacity, two enclosed offices, 38 open space workstations, and a coworking space. From early design stages, it was decided to split the workstations on both wings, organize the majority of enclosed offices on Wing II, close to the main entrance and the coworking space on Wing I, towards the most luminous part, in front of the balcony. On Wing II, the enclosed rooms are positioned on both sides facing the windows, designed as protruding glass volumes that burst in the open space. This play of stretching one space into the other, intensifies by the arrangement of two different shades of vinyl floor tiles. Thus, the darker shade used inside the rooms doesn’t stick with their perimeter but overflow, blurring the limits between open and closed space and attributing interest along the movement. On Wing I, there are three zones, one closed office, the coworking space, and the open space in between. The zones are delineated by two bespoke wooden and glass furniture – partitions. These partitions are multifunctional, being partially seats, tables, or bookcases and face either the open space or the coworking area. The interior architectural study included the overall design of all enclosed offices and open space, coordination of the other studies required (MEP and Lighting), bespoke furniture and the selection of the decorative ones.

Στον 8ο όροφο κτιρίου στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, στεγάζονται τα νέα γραφεία της Cegeka, ευρωπαϊκής εταιρείας παροχής υπηρεσιών Τεχνολογίας Πληροφοριών και Επικοινωνίας, με έδρα το Βέλγιο. Ο όροφος συνολικού εμβαδού 550 τ.μ., διασπάται σε δύο πτέρυγες με διαφορετικές στάθμες και προσανατολισμούς. Η χαμηλότερη (Πτέρυγα Ι) στρέφεται προς τον δρόμο και έχει θέα την Ακρόπολη και η δεύτερη (Πτέρυγα ΙΙ), σαφώς μεγαλύτερη και επιμήκης, προς κλειστό ακάλυπτο. Ζητούμενα της εταιρείας ήταν η οριοθέτηση τριών χώρων συνεδριάσεων, δύο κλειστών γραφείων, η εξασφάλιση 38 θέσεων εργασίας στο open space και τέλος, η διαμόρφωση ενός coworking space. Από τα αρχικά στάδια σχεδιασμού αποφασίστηκε, ο διαμοιρασμός των θέσεων εργασίας στις δύο πτέρυγες, η οργάνωση της πλειονότητας των κλειστών γραφείων εκατέρωθεν του άξονα της εισόδου, στην Πτέρυγα ΙΙ και η στροφή του coworking προς το πιο φωτεινό τμήμα, κατά μήκος του εξώστη της Πτέρυγας Ι. Στην Πτέρυγα ΙΙ, οι κλειστοί χώροι διατάσσονται και στις δύο πλευρές προς τα παράθυρα, σχεδιασμένοι ως γυάλινοι όγκοι που «ξεχειλίζουν» στο open space. Αυτό το παιχνίδι της εισχώρησης του ενός χώρου μέσα στον άλλο, εντείνεται από την διάταξη του βινυλικών πλακιδίων του δαπέδου. Η πιο σκούρα απόχρωση χρησιμοποιείται εντός των γραφείων, βγαίνει εκτός της περιμέτρου τους, σβήνοντας τα όρια μεταξύ ανοιχτού και κλειστού χώρου. Στην Πτέρυγα Ι το coworking space και το κλειστό γραφείο, οριοθετούνται μέσω πολυλειτουργικών επίπλων – διαχωριστικών από ξύλο και γυαλί. Η αρχιτεκτονική μελέτη εσωτερικού χώρου, περιλάμβανε τον συνολικό σχεδιασμό όλων των ελεύθερων ανοιχτών και κλειστών γραφείων, τον συντονισμό των λοιπών μελετών (ΗΜ και Φωτισμού), τον πλήρη σχεδιασμό των σταθερών επίπλων καθώς και την επιλογή του κινητού εξοπλισμού.
